Port of the month April 2016: Dow Vintage Port 1966

When would you be drinking the 1966 Vintage Ports if not on their 50. Birthday? Until recently this vintage has not received the proper attention since it is sandwiched between the big years of 1963 and 1970. I personally believe that the best Vintage Ports of this year will outlive the ones from 1970 and 63.

Deep-red, fresh colour. Strong, balanced almost elegant Nose with spicy notes, residual red berry-fruit and chocolate. Mineralic, precise palate with chocolate and a very long, intense aftertaste. 19
